JANUARY 2025
Happy New Year from Sew Lubbock Quilt Co. We hope you enjoyed some time with your families over the holidays. We are ready to get stitching this January! How about you? We have some fun classes scheduled as well as several stitching groups that meet through out the month.
Many of you have wondered how you received an email from Sew Lubbock Quilt Co. If you ever shopped at a delightful quilt shop/retreat center named Red Barn Retreat and Quilting Center that is our connection. If you didn't have a chance to read our letters this past fall detailing the changes that were made, here is the short but wonderful story! Red Barn Retreat and Quilting Center was purchased by a wonderful non profit organization for adults with disabilities that will utilize every inch of that beautiful property. We then brought the shop and machine dealerships into town and transitioned to Sew Lubbock Quilt Co. Several of our customers have asked why the name change, we simply respond, "We are not located in a Red Barn anymore!"
We welcome you to Sew Lubbock Quilt Co and are so happy to serve you!

We are excited to offer this adorable Gnomes and Heart canvas floor mat kit! Perfect for adding some joy to your home for Valentine's Day! We also have the beautiful Exploding Heart Mini patterns and the Hemingway Pouch that comes in several sizes, perfect for your tablets. Visit us in the shop or online at www.sewlubbockquiltco.com

We are excited to offer three classes in January! The Rope Bowl, January 11, is such a fun class and you can embellish and personalize your bowl as you stitch it. The Jelly Roll Mat class is on January 25. We have extended this class time to make larger mats than our previous class! And finally, this adorable Puffy Quilt class is actually on February 1, following our Coffee and Quilts get together. You may register for any of these classes by visiting our website or calling the Sew Lubbock at 806-224-2568.

WooHoo!! The Handi Quilter Van along with Handi Quilter National Educator, Loretta Morris are coming to Sew Lubbock Quilt Co. for a special Long Arm Education Event in February. We are offering TWO different two-day events! These events are very hands-on and interactive so each participant will have the maximum learning experience. We are offering a Beginner/Curious Quilter event on February 21-22 and an Intermediate/Advanced Quilter event on February 19-20. Each event will include ruler work, free motion skills and learning about digital quilting with the ProStitcher. Accommodations are available if you will be traveling from out of town. Register SOON as space is limited. Prices increase after January 15. This is a great way to get familiar with a Handi Quilter long arm machine. Register on our website or call the shop at 806-224-2568.

Starting in January, we are offering two monthly subscription programs! The Charm Pack of the Month Club is a 12 month program and you create one lap size quilt per month. Each month you will receive a new Moda Charm Pack, a new quilt pattern and the coordinating fabric you need to create the quilt. These quilts are perfect for baby gifts, gifts in general and donation to local charities. Our second monthly subscription we are excited to offer is our Aurifil Threads of the Month Club. Each month you will recieve four small spools (270 yds each) of different color Auriful thread. We will do our best to keep them seasonaly appropriate! January kits have been disbursed but its not too late to register for February! You may register for one or both of these subscriptions on our website or call the shop!

Sew Lubbock Quilt Co is also happy to keep our community of quilters, stitchers and knitters together by hosting group events. Join us the first Saturday of the month for Coffee and Quilts! This is your time to show off your amazing projects and be encouraged by fellow stitchers! This is always a fun time in the shop. Brenda, our resident knitter and hand stitcher extradinaire is hosting two monthly knitting classes/clubs. She will be hosting intermediate/advanced knitters on the first Tuesday of the month from 1-4pm and beginner knitters on the first Tuesday of the month from 1-4pm. Brenda will also host our Hand Stitching Club on the third Saturday of each month. This is a great way to learn a new skill and make friends at the same time. Come see us in the shop!
